Hi, I've just bought a domain name and web hosting from www.crazydomains.com.au but I'm not sure what I do now.
I want to set up a blog styled website and now that I have the domain name and the web hosting how can I set up my website so I can start posting blogs?
Please help! By the way I am not that smart about internet type stuff, all I want is to post blogs so could you tell me in the simplest way possible how I can do this? Thanks :)

I opened my site on January 2nd and I've been making improvements and all kinds of stuff ever sense. This is my first website and I'm new to all of this so I had no idea about seo when I opened it so the domain name isn't so good for people searching....
Its not an authority site or anything, there are no products or ads I'm trying to sell or promote. Its called your two cents worth and the idea is that people submit their advice and we post it up for the world to see.
so far almost all the views have been generated by me personally or by my close friends so like 75% direct traffic and like 25% referring sites from the sites Facebook page and twitter page.
Will building back links help? And is a pagerank of 0 normal this early in a websites life? It sounds like that means google doesnt know my site is there. I have like 13 indexed pages at google but no google backlinks.

In my research, it would seem to me that only pieces of hardware which are connected to the internet have IP addresses. This would mean that the machine running the server which was hosting a website would have an IP address, but the server software and the website itself would not. But this assumption seems to contradict the idea that every domain name can be translated into an IP address. I'll use the example given in "How Stuff Works" explanation of DNS servers. If I type in 70.74.251.42, I will be brought to the "How Stuff Works" website. But that does not make any sense, since the web site itself does not have it's own IP address. Perhaps "How Stuff Works" has their own machine running their own server, but still, I do not understand the relationship between IP addresses and websites. Is it that part of the URL I type in is the IP address of the machine, and that other parts refer to specific page I am requesting? I have been struggling with this apparent contradiction for a while. Thanks for your help!
